Courtesy of 500 Startups Dave McClure’s firm made more new deals than any other venture capital firm last year. 500 Startups led the pack with 57 new U.S. deals, according to DJX VentureSource, a research unit of Venture Capital Dispatch publisher Dow Jones & Co. Founded in 2010 by Dave McClure, 500 Startups is a seed fund and accelerator that has backed hundreds of startups.
